The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham

Today in Westminster Cathedral in central London, Archbishop Vincent Nichols, leader of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales said:

“Many ordinations have taken place in this cathedral during the 100 years of its history, but none quite like this”

Former Anglican Bishops Andrew Burnham, John Broadhurst and Keith Newton were ordained Catholic priests

The first "personal ordinariate" was born as a decree from the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith and the Holy Father's named as the ordinary Monsignor Newton
