This week is the feast of St John Vianney
While he was alive, the Curé d’Ars (St John Vianney 1786 – 1859) always refused to allow himself to be photographed.
On the centenary of his death in 1959, there was commissioned a « Photo-robot » derived from various documents especially the death photographs a true likeness of the Saint. Below is the result.
