One of the images from Picturing Mary: The Madonna in Art Through the Ages. Picturing Mary is an hour-long film that chronicles the imagery of the Blessed Virgin Mary in art from antiquity through modern times as seen in eight countries' cathedrals, chapels and museum collections. The film was partly financed by the American bishops. It was shown on PBS.
