Parents

In the Commentaries, Pius narrates that he was not present at the death of either of his parents, Vittoria Forteguessi and Silvio Piccolomini . He instructed that a joint tomb for them both be erected in S Francesco in Siena. The tomb was built. However only a few fragments now remain.
